Prosecution Seeks To Uncover Additional Victims Of Accused Serial Assaulter Who Lured Women On Dating Apps

The Los Angeles Police Department is pursuing potential victims of Benjamin Parke Belser, a 36-year-old North Carolina resident and suspect of five sexual assaults occurring since 2017. Belser is currently in custody on twelve felony counts and is being held on a bond of $6.2 million.

Belser has allegedly been meeting his victims online and providing intricate pretexts to elude detection, as he used various personas during his alleged crimes. Evidence claims that the towering Belser, who stood at 6 ft. 5in. and weighed 170 lbs., was also distinguishable by a distinct body odor.

On February 4th, detectives conducted a search of Belser’s domicile in the Village Green community in Los Angeles, where they recovered abundant proof of the alleged violations. Officers are still actively on the lookout for additional witnesses and records in order to construct a solid case against the defendant.

Asia Hodge, an investigator on the case, highlighted the particular distress of these situations, as victims are often hesitant to disclose rape cases due to shame and fear. Hodge then reaffirmed the commitment of the LAPD, declaring “there are more people out there who need help, and we’ll keep working until we find them.”

Anyone who has information which could aid the investigation is encouraged to contact LAPD at 213-473-0447 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247) during non-business hours. The department is fervently devoted to seeking and aiding potential victims of Benjamin Parke Belser and seeing him face justice for his alleged crimes.
