A man was attacked on a subway platform in Brooklyn on Saturday.

The 64-year-old victim was hit with a rock in a brutal attack on a Brooklyn subway platform this weekend, police officers said. The suspect was caught on video fleeing the station after attacking the victim, who was treated for head trauma and later released.

Intazar Dar, a security guard in Lower Manhattan, was on his way back home when he noticed peculiar behavior from a nearby man. He claims that he had never encountered his attacker before the shocking assault.

Dar was randomly attacked at his subway stop by a man mumbling loudly and pacing in the subway car. He says the suspect jumped onto the tracks, grabbed a rock, and punched Dar in the face before striking him in the head about four times with the rock.

The victim said he would need at least a week off of his work as a security guard to recover from the injuries he sustained in the attack.

The suspect is still on the loose after he attacked Intazar Dar. The suspect is a black male most likely in his 30s. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighing about 170lbs.
