(InformingNews.com) – The average parent likely expects a certain level of safety and security when dropping their children off at daycares and preschools each day. Unfortunately, not all elements are controllable. Parents of 19 preschoolers in California recently had to deal with a horrific tragedy.
On March 3, an SUV unexpectedly crashed into the Great Adventures Christian Preschool in Anderson, CA. All 19 children in the school at the time suffered injuries, and one of the two staff members present went to the hospital for medical attention. Ambulances transported 14 children for care, with five youngsters going to the hospital with their parents.

The Anderson Police Department had to remove two children pinned underneath the vehicle when they arrived on the scene. Officials said most children suffered minor injuries and went to the hospital as a precaution. Two children remain in intensive care with non-life-threatening injuries. There were no fatalities.
The SUV ended up inside the building around 2:30 p.m. Officers said the unnamed female driver cooperated with their investigation, and they don’t suspect alcohol or drugs were a factor. There have been no charges in the case, and police did not arrest the woman, but they are still conducting an investigation.
