Kennie A. Calvert, 59, was arrested for setting a fire at the Newport Highway Home Depot on May 19, and was booked into the Spokane County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
A fire at Home Depot overnight caused millions of dollars in damage and injured a firefighter. The fire started in an aisle where batteries were stored.
The fire was started so the suspect, Kennie Calvert could ‘distract the staff and steal items’.
She was arrested a short time after fleeing the scene when she entered another Home Depot. Presumably to steal more or return what she just stole.
Washington has seen a significant spike in Crime due to lax drug laws and a large spike in transient homeless taking over various cities.
