Woman vanishes on cross-country trip

SAN DIEGO, CA – Authorities are intensifying their search for a Florida woman who disappeared during a cross-country journey. Ganna Kovrizhynkh, 38, was last in contact on July 5 while passing through San Diego County. A week later, her Jeep Grand Cherokee and camper were discovered abandoned in Potrero. The case, listed in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NAMUS), has left investigators puzzled.

Kovrizhynkh’s mother received a mysterious photograph of a letter alongside GPS coordinates, suggesting the transfer of her personal assets to her mother. This cryptic message has added layers of complexity to the investigation.

“We’re uncertain about her intended destination,” said Sgt. Jacob Klepach of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department. “It appears she was exploring the country, but her vehicle was left in Potrero, and she never returned.”

The possibility that Kovrizhynkh crossed into Mexico’s Tecate region is under consideration by the police. Despite this, authorities remain unsure whether her disappearance involves foul play or if she left of her own volition.

She may be using the alias “Angel Volnaya” and possibly wearing a wig. Described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 100 pounds, she has blond hair, blue eyes, and several tattoos on her arms.

Kovrizhynkh’s last known residence was in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Friends and family are deeply concerned, urging anyone with information to come forward.

As the search continues, the case remains shrouded in mystery, leaving loved ones and authorities desperate for answers.
