Woman shot in Wells Fargo Bank parking lot

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A dispute over parking ended in gunfire on Monday, leaving a 61-year-old woman nursing a gunshot wound. The shooting incident took place in the 7300 block of Bustleton Ave., in the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank, Rhawnhurst section. Officers were called to the scene around 9 a.m., according to the Philadelphia police.

The victim was shot in the thigh amidst the parking argument and was rushed to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital for treatment. She is reportedly in stable condition.

As Gladys Sylvain, a friend of the victim and a witness to the incident, recounted how the argument erupted over whether the victim’s car door bumped into another woman’s vehicle. The squabble turned violent when a man sitting in the car pointed a gun at the victim’s chest before shooting her in the right thigh.

Sylvain reports that the suspects fled the scene, leaving her to attend to her injured friend. Warned Sylvain, “Always pray before you go out. Always.”

As of now, no arrests have been made concerning the case. Police were back in operation around noon, and the bank resumed normal operations.
