BROOKLYN, NY – A horrifying incident unfolded in Brooklyn on Friday where a woman was fatally stabbed. In relation to the stabbing, a dog was also allegedly thrown from the 11th floor of an apartment building, according to the NYPD and sources.
Officers received an emergency 911 call at approximately 7 p.m. and arrived at an apartment building at 1500 Hornell Loop in Starrett City. Inside, they discovered a woman and a man both suffering from multiple stab wounds to the torso.
Emergency medical services responded to the call, but despite their efforts to save her, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured man was transported to Brookdale Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Sources suggest the incident was a domestic dispute between a 58-year-old mother and her 36-year-old son, with indications that the son caused the stabbing.
Adding to the disturbing nature of the event, police found a dead dog outside the building. According to sources, it’s believed the canine was thrown from the 11th-story window of the apartment. Graphic photos showed the tan-colored dog’s body lying in the snow near the building until first responders covered it with a tarp.
The victims’ identities haven’t been released as authorities are waiting to notify the family. As the investigation is still ongoing, no arrests have been made at this time.
