Woman At Walmart Killed After Taking Hostage

Wednesday night, authorities shot and killed an Arkansas woman who held a Mississippi Walmart worker hostage.

Several videos posted online show the hostage situation at a Walmart in Richland. The suspect appeared to be holding a terrified female employee at gunpoint.

Corlunda McGinister, 21, of West Helena, Arkansas, was identified as the suspect.

According to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, the shooting took place around 5:45 p.m.

“We will not comment further at this time as this is an ongoing investigation,” the MBI told Fox News Digital.

A video shows McGinister waving a weapon around and yelling before pulling out a gun. McGinister did not injure anyone else.

McGinister notices someone filming her at one point.

“I’m not trying to hurt anyone,” she shouted.

“Could you please let her go then?” asked the man filming.

“This crooked cop cannot be tolerated,” she yells back.
