Precinct 4 investigators say the child was advertised online before detectives found her at a second north Harris County location.
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A missing juvenile has been found safe and reunited with family after an investigation into a suspected human trafficking operation in north Harris County led to the arrest of a 35-year-old woman, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
Detectives began investigating Sept. 24 after the constable’s Patrol Division received a report of a missing child. Authorities said information developed during the investigation led detectives to suspect the juvenile was being trafficked by a known person from a residence in north Harris County. The investigation ultimately led officers to two locations, an arrest and the recovery of the child.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for the first residence and served it with assistance from the constable’s Special Operations Unit. The juvenile was not found during that search, but detectives identified Brandi Lowe at the residence and continued investigating her possible connection to the case, authorities said.
The Precinct 4 Constable’s Office alleges that investigators later found evidence indicating Lowe had posted the juvenile online for trafficking purposes. Authorities have not publicly released further details about the online postings or the circumstances under which they were discovered.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted a charge of promotion of prostitution against Lowe, according to authorities. Lowe was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Court information cited by local news reports showed her bond was set at $20,000 through the 497th District Court. The charge is an allegation, and the case has not been adjudicated.
Investigators continued searching for the missing juvenile after Lowe’s arrest. The following day, detectives developed information that led them to a second location, according to the constable’s office. Authorities obtained another search warrant and found the child there.
The juvenile was safely reunited with family after being recovered, authorities said. Officials have not publicly disclosed the child’s age or provided a detailed account of what happened while the juvenile was missing. The child’s name is being withheld because the case involves a minor and suspected trafficking.
Constable Mark Herman said protecting vulnerable residents, particularly children, remains a priority for his office. Authorities have released few additional details about the people or locations under investigation, and it was not immediately clear whether investigators believe other suspects played a role in the alleged trafficking activity.
The case remains under investigation. Precinct 4 authorities have said additional arrests could follow as detectives continue examining the circumstances surrounding the juvenile’s disappearance, alleged online advertising and recovery. No additional charges or arrests had been publicly announced in the reports reviewed for this story.
