Video shows suspect wanted for sexual assault of 15-year-old girl

BRONX, NY – Surveillance footage obtained recently reveals a suspect believed to have assaulted a 15-year-old girl in the Bronx. The video captures a man, escorted by a young female, exiting a building on East 170th Street. Her face is obscured for privacy, but she seems disoriented and unsteady. The man guides her towards a red vehicle before it departs the scene. As the car leaves, an object is tossed to the man, which he hands over to another person before re-entering the building.

According to the NYPD, the incident allegedly occurred just after 8 p.m. last Sunday at an apartment on Prospect Avenue. Residents report that a party was taking place that evening, involving several individuals. “It’s devastating,” remarked one parent, noting the presence of teenagers in the building.

Efforts to identify the suspect are underway, with flyers promising a $3,500 reward distributed throughout the neighborhood. The community is urged to provide any information they might have. “When we see something, we must call the police,” emphasized a local resident.

Police describe the suspect as a male, approximately 17 to 18 years old, standing 5’8″ with a slim build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray hoodie, light-colored shorts, white sneakers, and a white hat. The unsettling event has left many parents in the area feeling anxious. “It’s just scary. Now we all have to keep our eyes open,” said a concerned mother of two daughters.

Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone recognizing the suspect is encouraged to contact NYPD’s Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. “I hope she’s okay,” expressed a neighbor, reflecting the community’s concern for the victim’s well-being.

The police have confirmed that the victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
