A young man was allegedly killed by his own uncle. A woman was also injured in the same incident.
Chevaughn Millings, 25, became the victim of a shooting that took place around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday. Responding to an emergency call, law enforcement found Millings and a 20-year-old woman, whose identity has been withheld, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency services promptly transported the pair to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where Millings was sadly pronounced dead. The female victim, whose connection to Millings and the alleged shooter remains unclear, is reportedly in stable condition.
A cousin of Millings identified the uncle as the shooter. Millings’ mother, seen at the location on Sunday morning, also confirmed this devastating claim.
The motive behind this family tragedy is unclear.
Law enforcement disclosed that the alleged shooter fled the scene in a white Mercedes-Benz, with no arrests reported as of Sunday.
