Two killed, three injured after shooting breaks out during Father’s Day celebration

On Father’s Day, Chicago was rocked by a deadly shooting that claimed two lives and injured three others, as confirmed by city officials.

The unsettling incident unfolded in the evening within the Roseland neighborhood. Five individuals fell victim to the shooting before being rushed to nearby medical facilities.

The victims were reportedly enjoying the day at a park when tragedy struck. A gray Honda sedan drove by, and individuals from inside the car began firing shots.

Two men, aged 37 and 33, lost their lives in the onslaught, stated Tom Ahern, a spokesperson for the police. In addition, three others – aged 27, 25, and 19 – were taken to hospitals with various degrees of injuries.

According to Ahern, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the incident as of yet.

As per reports from The Chicago Tribune, the shooting incident took place around 8 p.m. during a Father’s Day barbecue.
