A horrific crime took place last night in the Bronx. Police arrived to find a 24-year-old female naked inside of an apartment of a family shelter on the third floor. The woman was acting erratically when first responders arrived.
Police took a woman into custody without incident, and took her to St. Barnabas Hospital for evaluation. It was apparent that the woman had stabbed two young kids who appeared to be lifeless.
The police officers responded to a scene where two young children were stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso. The victims that were found with these wounds were a three-year-old and an 11-month-old boy.
They were both the children of the woman who is now in custody.
Sources shared that the kids were found by first responders inside of the bathtub of the apartment. A neighbor told reporters that he helped the panicked father of the young boys pull the kids out of the tub when he found them. Both of the children were naked and covered in blood.
The two children were transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for treatment. However, they were not able to survive the severe stab wounds that they endured from their murderous mother.
Neighbors say they heard the parents arguing and screaming earlier in the night, and saw the father hysterically crying for help after the incident. The father is not in police custody, and the investigation over the two young boys’ death is ongoing.
According to other residents at The Concourse Gardens apartment building, the family had a number of domestic issues. So much so that the police was already familiar with this family when they arrived at this horrific scene. Both neighbors and officers that witnessed the young kids’ untimely deaths were visibly distraught by what happened.
