Twin three-year-olds found dead inside car on busy highway

MIAMI, FL – In a heart-wrenching incident, twin toddlers were discovered lifeless in a car on Miami’s Interstate 95 early Friday. The female driver, in a shocking turn of events, leapt from an overpass, critically injuring herself as law enforcement arrived on the scene.

The ensuing investigation disrupted the morning commute north of Downtown Miami, causing a ripple effect of delays for local trains.

The Miami-Dade County Police started receiving frantic 911 calls around 2 a.m., alerting them to the presence of a young boy and girl in the backseat of a parked car at the Golden Glades Interchange. This is a bustling junction where I-95 intersects with Florida’s Turnpike. Good Samaritans were trying to perform CPR on the children when help arrived.

The situation escalated dramatically when the woman, upon seeing the police and fire-rescue teams, jumped from the overpass onto the railway tracks far below. The children were immediately transported to the hospital, where they were tragically pronounced dead. The woman was also hospitalized, with her condition reported as critical. The cause of the children’s deaths remains undisclosed.

The police are yet to establish the relationship between the woman and the children, and no names have been revealed.

Detective Andre Martin expressed, “Our investigators are currently working tirelessly to unravel the details of this heart-rending incident.”
