Toddler falls to death from hotel window in tragic accident

SIOUX FALLS, SD – A tragic accident has resulted in the death of a toddler who fell from a hotel window in South Dakota. One-year-old Madden Hein reportedly fell from a third-floor window at the Club House Hotel & Suites in Sioux Falls on April 13, according to the local police. Madden, whose home is in Minnesota, was staying at the hotel with his parents at the time of the incident. He was rushed to a local hospital following the fall where he died two days later.

Kathryn Hein, Madden’s heartbroken mother, publicly shared her grief on Facebook, revealing a photograph of her and her husband, Alex Hein, holding their son’s hand in the hospital. She lamented the irreplaceable loss of their ‘sweet baby boy’, expressing how difficult it has been for them to make sense of the devastating incident.

Details surrounding how Madden fell, including whether the window was open, are not clear. The incident is currently being investigated by the authorities.

In a testament to the toddler’s spirit, Kathryn announced that Madden will be a ‘real-life superhero’ through the donation of his organs. To help support the grieving family, a GoFundMe page has been set up in Madden’s honor, with donations currently surpassing $63,000.

The Hein family, which also includes a three-year-old daughter and a baby due in August, plan to participate in an ‘honor walk’ as a tribute to Madden during his organ donation surgery. Both Kathryn and Alex Hein expressed their deep longing for their late son, promising to hold his memory dearly until they meet again.
