GREECE, NY – Three residents of Greece, New York, face kidnapping charges after authorities allege they detained, threatened, and forcibly stripped a 13-year-old boy. The suspects are 25-year-old Jayquon Martin, his brother Mikquon Williams, 22, and their father, Lennis Williams, 53.
According to the Greece Police Department, officers responding to a menacing report at the Glenora Gardens apartment complex found five juveniles and three adults. Subsequent investigations revealed that Martin had confronted the teenage boy in an apartment within the building, where he reportedly threatened the teenager with a rifle, forced him to undress, held him captive for around 45 minutes, and cut off his hair using scissors.
Martin allegedly sought assistance from his father and brother to abduct the teen and bound him with handcuffs. Upon arrival, police reportedly found the Williams seated on either side of the naked and handcuffed victim in a vehicle.
The charges against Martin include kidnapping, criminal use of a firearm, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal mischief. Both Mikquon and Lennis Williams face charges of kidnapping.
Residents of the complex, typically considered quiet and safe, have been urged to remain alert and take precautions to secure their homes. The accused men were ordered held on cash bail of $2,500 or a $5,000 insurance bond, with the option of a $7,500 partially secured bond after their arraignment.
