Authorities detained another juvenile employee after deputies responded to the deadly stabbing at a McDonald’s on Louetta Road.
HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A juvenile McDonald’s employee was killed and another juvenile worker was detained after a stabbing Wednesday night at a restaurant in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
Deputies responded to the McDonald’s in the 13300 block of Louetta Road after receiving a report of a stabbing in progress. Authorities said a juvenile male was detained when deputies arrived, while another juvenile male employee was found wounded inside a restaurant restroom.
Paramedics attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Precinct 4 said both the victim and the detained juvenile worked at the restaurant. Their names and exact ages had not been publicly released as of Thursday.
KPRC reported that the incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and that the Harris County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. Thursday. Authorities have not publicly explained what led to the stabbing or described the relationship between the two workers beyond confirming that both were employees.
Precinct 4 identified the detained juvenile as a suspect, but officials had not announced criminal charges as of Thursday. Detention does not establish criminal responsibility, and investigators had not released findings about how the confrontation began or what circumstances preceded the stabbing.
Authorities also had not disclosed whether other employees or customers witnessed the incident or whether investigators recovered evidence from the restaurant. No motive had been announced, and officials had not said whether the two juveniles had been involved in an earlier dispute.
The stabbing remained under investigation Thursday. Authorities had not announced when additional information, including the victim’s identity or a decision on possible charges, would be released.
