STOW, OH – In the aftermath of a shocking murder-suicide incident at a Taco Bell drive-thru in Stow on Wednesday evening, law enforcement authorities have stated that they may never uncover the true motive. The violent confrontation led to the death of two people, both found shot in their cars.
According to Stow police, witnesses shared that the female victim- identified as Keleman- had cut in front of the male suspect named Williams in the line at the drive-thru. Williams responded by honking his horn and hitting the back of Keleman’s car, prompting her to ask the employees of Taco Bell to call the police.
Witness accounts then narrate a grim sequence of events as Williams stepped out of his vehicle, shot Keleman, and then fired the gun at himself. With both individuals pronounced dead at the scene, Stow police stated that there was no evidence suggesting that Williams and Keleman knew each other.
Searches into Williams’ past revealed no significant criminal history, barring an arrest for driving under the influence. Police are unsure if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident on Wednesday.
While the investigation continues, the dog that was in Keleman’s car during the incident was handed over to animal rescuers. After necessary care and baths, the pet was returned to its family later that same night.
This homicide case is an anomaly for Stow, a community of about 34,000 residents nestled between Kent and Akron, where the last recorded case of a similar nature happened several years ago.
