Authorities allege that a Kentucky woman sexually abused a teenage student and sent the teen nude photos afterward.
The 24-year-old woman has been charged with one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony, and 11 counts of disseminating harmful material to juveniles. All of her charges are first-degree misdemeanors.
While working as a student teacher at Liberty Junior School in Butler County, Ohio, D’Ettorre met the alleged victim – who is between 13 and 15 years old. According to court documents obtained by Fox 19, D’Ettorre began sexual contact after her last day as a student teacher.
Authorities say the sexual contact likely took place in a vehicle.
A spokesperson for Lakota Local Schools told Cincinnati.com that D’Ettorre left the district on May 4. On May 21, more than two weeks after leaving, court documents allege that the sexual incident occurred.
Up until August 30, D’Ettorre was also allegedly sending inappropriate pictures.
Multiple news outlets reported that the school district would cooperate fully with authorities as they investigated the case.
The predatory student teacher has not yet entered a plea. Her pretrial hearing is scheduled for January 10 and she is free on $10,000 bond. She does not appear to have an attorney authorized to speak on her behalf in court records.
