ORLANDO, FL – The son of basketball legend Michael Jordan found himself in legal trouble early this morning when he was arrested in Florida. Marcus Jordan, 34, was taken into custody after a high-speed chase with Seminole County sheriff’s deputies, who attempted to stop him for speeding in his blue Lamborghini.
According to the police report, the incident began around 1 a.m. when deputies observed Jordan’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Dashcam footage captured the pursuit, during which Jordan allegedly failed to stop, leading officers on a chase until his car stalled on railroad tracks.
Upon approaching the vehicle, officers detected a strong odor of alcohol and noted that Jordan exhibited signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Jordan, who appeared confused about his location, claimed he had made a wrong turn.
Inside the vehicle, officers discovered a passenger and a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance, which later tested positive for cocaine. Jordan admitted to having visited several venues in Winter Park and Casselberry, including a gentleman’s club, where he said he had consumed alcohol.
Police reported that Jordan refused to take a breathalyzer test and was uncooperative during the arrest, resisting officers’ attempts to place him in the patrol car. He was eventually charged with DUI, possession of cocaine, and resisting an officer without violence.
Video footage later captured Jordan leaving jail after posting bond. He declined to comment as he exited, surrounded by cameras. Marcus Jordan, known for his time playing basketball at the University of Central Florida and his appearances on reality TV, is the second of Michael Jordan’s five children.
Records reveal that Marcus Jordan has had prior run-ins with the law, including a previous no-contest plea to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. This recent incident adds to his controversial public image, contrasting sharply with his father’s celebrated legacy.
