Shooting breaks out at Chuck E. Cheese

A shooting incident at the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Alabama’s Shelby County resulted in one person being taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On Sunday, at 4:50 p.m., law enforcement was swiftly dispatched to the scene on Highway 280 after reports of gunfire.

When the authorities arrived, they found a man shot in the abdomen. He treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital for further medical attention.

No other patrons or employees were hurt during the shooting. The alleged shooter was quickly arrested by the Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies and Hoover Police Department officers.

According to witnesses, the victim and the shooter are believed to be relatives. The shooting was claimed to be a result of a family gathering gone wrong.

Police authorities do not believe that there are any additional suspects involved.

Shelby County officials are still conducting an investigation and searching for the weapon that was used in the shooting.
