School bus crash sends multiple kids to the hospital in critical condition

A school bus transporting 30 teenagers from a YMCA summer camp in Idaho met with a tragic accident on a Friday afternoon. The bus overturned on State Highway 55 near Banks, leading to all passengers being airlifted to the hospital. Seven of the teens are reported to be in critical condition.

The bus was returning from Horsethief Reservoir when the unfortunate incident occurred. The passengers, aged 13 to 18, were part of the Treasure Valley YMCA’s summer camp program. The bus involved in the accident was one of four used by the camp.

The Idaho State Police are investigating the cause of the crash, which remains unknown at this time. No further details about the incident have been released by the authorities.

David Duro, President of YMCA Treasure Valley, expressed his distress over the incident. He assured that the organization is working tirelessly to reunite the affected children with their families. He referred to the crash as an event “one never wishes to witness.”

Governor Brad Little of Idaho took to Twitter to express his sympathy for the victims. He thanked the first responders and medical personnel for their swift action and assured that the people of Idaho are praying for the victims.
