Remains of missing pregnant teen discovered on boyfriend’s property

RAHOBIT, MA – Authorities have made a grim discovery in the search for 18-year-old Kylie Montero, a pregnant teenager reported missing earlier this month. Human remains believed to be hers were found Tuesday night, leading to the arrest of her boyfriend, Gregory Groom, who now faces murder charges.

The Bristol County District Attorney announced the tragic news to a somber crowd gathered outside a residence on County Street. For hours, investigators meticulously searched the property, ultimately uncovering remains thought to belong to Montero.

District Attorney Thomas Quinn revealed that Groom, 22, who lived at the property, reported Montero missing on August 7. He is now charged with her murder, and an arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow in Taunton District Court.

The scene was emotionally charged as an excavator was brought in to assist with the investigation. Friends and family of Montero expressed a bittersweet sense of closure, finding solace in knowing that she is now at peace.

“God has her,” one mourner said, reflecting on the collective grief and the hope that Montero and her unborn child are reunited with loved ones in the afterlife.

Earlier in the day, Groom faced charges related to an alleged assault on Montero, which reportedly occurred just before she vanished. He remains in custody without bail, awaiting his court appearance.

The case has gripped the community, with many mourning the loss of a young life filled with potential. As the legal proceedings unfold, the community remains united in support of Montero’s family.

Authorities continue to gather evidence, determined to piece together the events leading to this heartbreaking outcome. The investigation remains active, with law enforcement committed to seeking justice for Montero and her unborn child.
