Police looking for missing 11-year-old not seen in weeks

BROWNSVILLE, NY – The search for Jacob, an 11-year-old boy, entered its third night in the Brownsville neighborhood with no new leads. Police returned to Howard Avenue, hoping to uncover fresh clues, but the boy remains missing.

Residents of the building where Jacob lived with his mother express growing fear as time passes. Concerns have intensified due to troubling details about Jacob’s home environment. Blood was reportedly discovered on the refrigerator in the apartment, and an investigation by child services was initiated in late September.

The apartment is now sealed off, a typical procedure when a death is suspected. Neighbors, visibly shaken, are desperate for answers. Jacob, who is autistic, has been missing despite extensive police efforts, including searches in nearby dumpsters.

During the initial visit by child services, Jacob’s mother allegedly denied having a child living with her. This has raised further alarm within the community, which has not seen Jacob for weeks. Frequent yelling was heard from the apartment until recently, when it suddenly stopped.

Concerns about the mother’s mental health have surfaced, and she is currently undergoing evaluation at a local hospital after being taken in by authorities. Neighbors are urged to report any suspicious activity as the search continues.

Police and community members remain on high alert, determined to find Jacob as the investigation unfolds.
