Pedestrian killed after being hit by 3 cars in a row

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles Police Department is conducting an investigation into a case of a deadly triple hit-and-run incident that occurred late last week. The victim, a pedestrian in his late 20s or early 30s, was struck by three different vehicles, none of which stopped following the collision, making it a distressing case of triple hit-and-run.

The LAPD reports that the first collision occurred around 11:45 p.m. Friday when a light-colored pick-up truck, moving northbound on the southbound lanes of San Fernando Road, hit the pedestrian who was crossing mid-block.

After the initial accident, the victim, now lying on the ground in the northbound lanes, was hit by another vehicle. The second car was described as a light-colored, full-size SUV heading north. The force from the second impact projected the victim onto the southbound lanes, where a third vehicle, a dark-colored mid-size SUV, ran over him.

None of the involved cars stopped to offer assistance after the accidents. The first and the second vehicles continued their journey north on San Fernando Road, while the third vehicle moved southwards. On arrival of the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics at the scene, it was confirmed that the pedestrian had succumbed to the injuries.

As the search for the drivers continues, law enforcement offers a reward of up to $50,000 for information that could lead to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the three drivers involved in the tragic incident.
