Nine teens shot at after-prom party

A shooting took place at an after-prom party in Texas. The gunfire left at least nine teenagers injured, with authorities confirming that none of the injuries are life-threatening.

The incident took place just after midnight Sunday at a residence located on County Road 263, north of Jasper, Texas. All of the victims of the shooting ranged in age from 15 to 19 years old.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are questioning several individuals of interest in connection with the shooting. Deputies were initially called to the scene in response to reports of shots fired.

Most of the injured teenagers were transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital, while some required further treatment and were transferred to Christus St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, Texas.

The Jasper School District expressed its concern for the victims and offered support to the ongoing investigation.
