Naked man fights off cop, steals cruiser

LAS VEGAS, NV – In a bizarre incident on Tuesday, a nude man in Las Vegas managed to slip away from a police officer, steal his cruiser, and lead a high-speed chase that spanned five miles and lasted 15 minutes. The spectacle, which was caught on camera, concluded with the man running a red light and crashing into another vehicle.

The suspect, 29-year-old Clyde Cabulisan, is now facing a slew of charges. These include felony charges for robbery, disobedience to a peace officer, endangering individuals and property, and battery on a protected person. He’s also been slapped with misdemeanors for reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving under the influence, according to the Clark County Detention Center’s online records. Interestingly, no charges have been filed for indecent exposure.

Cabulisan’s brother told police that he had experienced a “mental breakdown”. The incident was recorded by Kyle Even, a passerby who initially thought he was driving towards an accident scene when he saw the flashing lights near Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive. Instead, he was met with the sight of Cabulisan strolling naked along the highway and resisting arrest.

The footage shows Cabulisan knocking the officer’s hat off and pushing him to the ground at an intersection. He then climbed into the driver’s seat of the police vehicle and sped off, leading officers on a chase that ended when he ran a red light and collided with a Ford Explorer. The crash critically injured the occupants of the Explorer, a woman aged 34 and a man aged 43.

Cabulisan’s arraignment took place at Las Vegas Justice Court on Thursday, but it is unclear whether he has entered a plea.
