Murdered model’s body found inside of her refrigerator

LOS ANGELES, CA – Shocking details have emerged from the autopsy report of Maleesa Mooney, a pregnant model found dead in her downtown Los Angeles apartment last month. The report reveals that Mooney, 31, had been bound, beaten, gagged, and placed inside her own refrigerator.

Mooney’s lifeless body was discovered on September 12 when police conducted a welfare check at her South Figueroa Street apartment. The autopsy report indicates that she had suffered from blunt force trauma to her head, torso, and arms, ultimately succumbing to “homicidal violence” as the cause of death.

Her wrists and ankles were bound together, secured with various electronic cords and clothing items, and a gag made from clothing was found stuffed in her mouth. Toxicology tests additionally revealed the presence of cocaine and alcohol in Mooney’s system. While the individual blunt force injuries were not inherently life-threatening, the circumstances surrounding her discovery suggest that she had been involved in a violent altercation prior to her demise.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. Mooney, who was two months pregnant at the time of her tragic death, was last seen alive on surveillance footage at her apartment complex on September 6.

In a heart-wrenching interview last month, Mooney’s sister, Jourdin Pauline, described her as a kind and loving person who always brought people together. She lamented the loss of her sister, saying, “Maleesa has always been someone who is a peacemaker in our family, someone that’s always been the backbone, and making sure everyone’s getting together, loving on each other. So this is a really big piece of us that’s gone now.”
