Murder suspect gets arrested at airport after shooting husband

Clayton County Police reported on Tuesday that they had arrested 40-year-old murder suspect Richard Lee at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as he attempted to board a flight. Lee was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of his husband, 32-year-old Michael Roshell, at a residence on Adrian Drive on April 4.

According to police, Lee arrived at the home on the day of the incident, which ultimately led to Roshell’s death. On Tuesday, authorities issued arrest warrants for Lee on charges of malice murder and first-degree cruelty to children.

The police were initially alerted to the situation on April 4 by a call from a juvenile at the home. The relationship, if any, between the juvenile and the couple remains unclear.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Clayton County Police Department’s Airport Interdiction Unit and the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, officers managed to apprehend Lee at the Atlanta airport. The arrest was announced via a tweet from the Clayton County Police Department.

Further details about the incident between Lee and Roshell have not been provided by the police, and no information has been released regarding any harm to the juvenile involved in the case.
