Murder suspect charged with trying to orchestrate additional murders from jail

MILWAUKEE, WI – In a case that has captured the attention of many, DeAndre Williams, a 22-year-old Milwaukee resident previously spotlighted on Wisconsin’s Most Wanted, found himself back in court under serious allegations. Already jailed on charges of reckless homicide, Williams now faces accusations of attempting to eliminate key witnesses involved in his case.

The courtroom was tense as Williams, visibly emotional, returned to face the judge. His initial charges date back to 2024 when he was accused of killing a man outside a local liquor store. Williams pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but the case took a darker turn when new allegations emerged.

Prosecutors revealed that Williams allegedly tried to orchestrate the murder of witnesses from behind bars. According to court records, he solicited a fellow inmate, whom he had known for a decade, to carry out these plans. The chilling phrase “no face, no case” was reportedly used by Williams in his attempt to eliminate those who could testify against him.

The list Williams provided to his cellmate was said to include not only witnesses but also individuals familiar with his character. This revelation added a disturbing layer to the proceedings, highlighting the lengths Williams was allegedly willing to go to silence others.

Court Commissioner Barry Phillips pointed out the gravity of the situation, noting that some targets on the list were not direct witnesses but still posed a threat to Williams’ defense. This list, investigators say, was reported to authorities by the cellmate, who disclosed the plot to an attorney.

In court, Williams appeared shaken, shedding tears throughout the proceedings. However, the court commissioner expressed skepticism over his display of emotion, suggesting it contradicted the serious nature of the allegations against him.

The bond was set at $100,000, and if convicted, Williams faces the possibility of spending the remainder of his life behind bars. The case continues to unfold, with many watching closely as justice is sought.
