Multi-car crash ends with victim stabbed and multiple people run over by attacker

DALLAS, TX – A chaotic and violent incident on Interstate 635 this morning has left multiple people injured and caused significant traffic disruptions. The situation began around 7 a.m. when a multi-vehicle collision occurred on the westbound lanes near Forest Road.

According to Dallas police, the scene quickly escalated when one of the drivers involved in the crash became enraged and stabbed another individual. The victim of the stabbing is currently in critical condition, though their identity has not been disclosed.

The incident took a further dramatic turn when a Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) employee who witnessed the altercation attempted to intervene. The suspect then reportedly chased the TxDOT worker with his vehicle, ultimately striking him. Fortunately, the employee is expected to recover from his injuries.

In addition to the stabbing victim and the TxDOT employee, another person sustained injuries during the incident. The suspect has been taken into custody, and authorities are continuing their investigation, which includes reports of the suspect using his vehicle to chase other individuals at the scene.

Traffic on Interstate 635 has been severely affected, with extensive backups stretching to Garland Road. Vehicles are being forced off the highway at the Forest Abrams exit, creating a significant bottleneck. Motorists are advised to avoid the area as cleanup and investigation efforts continue.

The Texas Department of Transportation has not provided an estimate for when the westbound lanes will reopen. Meanwhile, other traffic issues in the area, including a cleared problem on I-35 southbound at Bear Creek and another accident on I-45 at Simpson Stuart, have compounded the morning’s traffic woes.

Authorities are urging drivers to remain patient and seek alternative routes while they work to resolve the situation and ensure the safety of all involved.
