Med student shot by 2 male suspects in brutal attack

A hefty reward of $50,000 has been put up for anyone who can provide information that leads to the capture and prosecution of the two men responsible for shooting a 26-year-old medical student from Louisiana State University in the Green Hills area on Monday night.

The Metro Nashville Police Department revealed that the reward was put up by anonymous private donors. The reward is for any information leading to an arrest in the case. The Metro Nashville Police Department is asking anyone with information about the case to contact them immediately.

The police reported that an LSU medical student, who was close to completing her program, was attacked in Green Hills at approximately 11 pm on Monday. An automobile with a dark exterior was seen by the woman, and two individuals exited the vehicle.

Two individuals, both with weapons, were involved in a physical altercation at the intersection of Trimble Road and Esteswood Drive. The police reported that one or more of the suspects discharged multiple shots at the woman.

The woman was brutally assaulted, suffering multiple blows to her arm and leg according to authorities. She was rushed to a hospital in a very serious condition.

Authorities are still pursuing the perpetrators and the female victim is on the path to recovery.
