MILWAUKEE, WI – A Milwaukee man, previously charged with robbing a bike shop, now faces more severe allegations after a violent incident involving a teenager. The suspect, Jonathan Watts, is currently evading authorities.
In December 2023, Watts allegedly entered a Riverwest bike shop demanding money while brandishing what appeared to be an AR-style pistol. It was later identified as a fake weapon. He reportedly left the scene with $240 in cash.
Following his arrest, Watts was released on bond. However, in 2024, he became embroiled in a new case involving the assault of a 14-year-old girl. According to prosecutors, Watts strangled the teen, who managed to escape despite his attempts to restrain her further.
The victim sought refuge at a nearby location where law enforcement was notified. Since then, Watts has been on the run, with authorities actively searching for him.
The 34-year-old, known for his distinctive tattoos—including minions inked across his neck—has connections to both Milwaukee and Rockford, Illinois. His physical description includes a height of six feet one inch and a weight of approximately 215 pounds. He also goes by the nickname “Dinero.”
U.S. Marshals emphasize the urgency of his capture, urging Watts to surrender and resolve the charges against him. They warn that his time evading capture is limited.
Authorities encourage anyone with information on Watts’ whereabouts to contact them immediately. His tattoos, covering his hands, arms, and face, make him easily recognizable.
For now, the community remains vigilant as the search for Watts continues, with hopes for a swift resolution to this dangerous situation.
