Man strangles his mom to death before calling 911

NARRAGANSETT, RI – Bryan Wilson, a 27-year-old resident of Narragansett, Rhode Island, has been charged with the murder of his mother. According to local authorities, Wilson’s mother was discovered strangled to death in her home on Monday afternoon.

Police arrived at the Inkberry Trail residence around 1:30 p.m. after they received a report of a suspicious death. Following a preliminary inquiry at the scene, the victim was pronounced dead. Wilson was then taken into police custody as a result of his involvement in the victim’s murder.

Although the victim’s identity was not officially released, local reporters have identified the murder victim as Hawazoe Robinson.

In addition to second-degree domestic murder, Wilson has also been charged with violation of a protective order. Prosecutors claim that following an argument with his mother, Wilson strangled her. After attacking her, he then called 911 to confess to the crime.

Wilson was arraigned on Tuesday, and he is due to appear in court again on October 9th. His case is scheduled for review by a grand jury for possible indictment.

In the meantime, Narragansett police continue their investigation into the mother’s untimely death, reassuring the public that there is no ongoing safety concern.
