Man stabbed at Starbucks following road rage fight

RIVERSIDE, CA – Authorities in Riverside are delving into a potential road rage incident that escalated into a stabbing outside a local Starbucks. The altercation occurred around 4 p.m. on Monday on the 300 block of Alessandro Boulevard, close to Mission Grove Parkway.

Preliminary reports indicate that the conflict began on surface streets when one driver allegedly cut off another, either intentionally or by accident. The suspect then trailed the victim to a nearby Starbucks drive-thru, where the situation took a violent turn.

Witnesses recounted that a confrontation ensued, during which the suspect reportedly began choking the victim. In self-defense, the victim used a knife to stab the suspect in the arm. The suspect fled the scene but was later discovered by responding officers hiding behind a trash dumpster.

As of now, the suspect faces charges of assault. Police are continuing their investigation to gather more details about the events leading up to the altercation and to determine the appropriate course of legal action.
