The situation unfolded at around 11 p.m. on S. Spicewood Lane, where a man shot two brothers before taking his own life, according to local officials.
The incident stemmed from a confrontation sparked by an argument between a woman and her boyfriend. In an attempt to shield her children from the escalating tension, the woman took them to a nearby home occupied by three brothers.
Following the woman, the boyfriend arrived at the brothers’ home, where a heated confrontation took place. During this encounter, the boyfriend allegedly fired his gun, killing two of the brothers. In the ensuing chaos, a return shot was fired at the boyfriend, who then retreated to his residence.
Law enforcement arrived at the scene shortly afterward, only to find that the boyfriend had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The brothers who were killed were aged in their 30s and 50s. The location had seen prior police involvement due to earlier family violence calls.
Officials have yet to release the names of the individuals involved. Those who survived, including the third brother, the woman, and her two children, are reportedly unharmed and cooperating with investigators.
