CHULA VISTA, CA – A shocking incident unfolded on the 805 freeway Monday night, leaving a motorcyclist dead and a driver facing murder charges. The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Ulysses Jimenez, allegedly crashed his vehicle into a motorcyclist in what authorities describe as an intentional act.
Witnesses reported seeing Jimenez barefoot and clutching a handful of cash as he attempted to hitch a ride away from the scene. Jenny Katie and her children captured video footage of Jimenez walking through traffic, seemingly indifferent to the chaos surrounding him.
The tragic chain of events began when Jimenez reportedly drove his red Tesla at high speed into the back of 52-year-old Uribe Villalobos’s BMW motorcycle, resulting in Villalobos’s death. The Tesla continued on its path, subsequently colliding with a 2012 black Ram pickup. The driver of the pickup, along with five passengers, sustained minor injuries.
The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the southbound 805 at Telegraph Canyon Road.
