Man arrested for ‘revenge’ killing

On March 28, Michelle E. Luna, 52, was discovered mortally wounded at her Nampa, Idaho home.

Numerous stab wounds to her body led to her death at the scene declared by the Nampa police department. Jesus R. Urrutia, 39, was identified as the suspect in the murder and charged with first-degree homicide.

A day later, Nampa police were again on a stabbing murder scene at a gas station. This call reported of a second victim, later identified as the suspect in the death of Ms. Luna, slumped over in a car that was running but in park.

Raul Alexander Cuevas, 31, was charged with first-degree murder for the killing of Mr. Urrutia. Cuevas is the son of Michelle Luna.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office had determined that the cause of death was due to a fatal sharp force injury to the chest. The revenge killing related to the death of Cuevas’ mother remains under investigation.
