DEARBORN, MI – The FBI has disrupted a potential terror attack in Michigan, according to an announcement made Friday morning. FBI Director Kash Patel reported that multiple suspects have been arrested for planning a violent act over the Halloween weekend.
Operations by the FBI took place in both Dearborn and Inkster early Friday. Dearborn police confirmed on Facebook that they were informed of the FBI’s activities and are assisting in the investigation. Authorities have assured the public that there is no immediate threat to the community.
Live footage from two Dearborn neighborhoods showed investigators actively working at a residential property near Tireman and Warren. While the specific connection to the thwarted plot remains unclear, visible federal agents in FBI vests were seen at the scene.
Another location, near Ford and Schaefer, was also under scrutiny, situated approximately two miles from the first scene. Michigan State Police have joined federal agents in this investigation. Residents reported loud noises, initially thought to be gunshots, which are now believed to have been flash bangs used during the raids.
A third site in Inkster is also being investigated, although no live footage is available from that location. Details about the nature of the planned attack remain undisclosed, but further information is expected throughout the day.
Director Patel has promised updates as the investigation unfolds, emphasizing the seriousness of the thwarted plot. The FBI’s swift action prevented what could have been a violent incident during the holiday weekend.
Updates will be provided continuously on local news platforms, ensuring residents remain informed about developments in this ongoing investigation.
