Fatal shooting at Florida Walmart leads to charges against three men

Three men are facing charges following a shooting incident at a Walmart in South Florida that resulted in the death of one person and the injury of another. The incident occurred on Wednesday after a confrontation between two groups at the Walmart located in Florida City, approximately 25 miles southwest of Miami, according to a report by the Miami-Dade police.

Steve Lestin, 25, has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted felony murder. Two other suspects in the case have also been connected to the case. Roberto Acevedo, 20, and Jimari Hodge, 21, are facing battery charges as a result of their involvement in the incident. Authorities have stated that they are not actively searching for any additional suspects.

After the shooting, two victims were transported to a Miami trauma center, where one of them, 23-year-old Nathaniel Baez, tragically succumbed to his injuries. Baez was involved in the confrontation, while the other victim, an innocent bystander, was shot in the foot.

The chaotic scene resulted in several other individuals sustaining injuries. A woman who fell and hit her head was taken to a nearby hospital, while five others were treated by rescue workers for minor cuts and scrapes outside the store. Steve Lestin is currently being held without bond, while Acevedo and Hodge are being held on $1,500 bail. At the time of writing, no attorneys were listed for the three men in online jail records.

Law enforcement officials are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting at the South Florida Walmart. Walmart has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
