Family desperate to find missing 19-year-old girl

LANHAM, MD – The search is intensifying for a 19-year-old Maryland woman who vanished a week ago, leaving her family in distress. Her car was discovered abandoned, with personal items still inside, yet there has been no sign of her since.

The young woman was last seen leaving her father’s Lanham home around 10 p.m. last Friday. She assured her father she would return after refueling her car but never made it back. Her family tracked her white 2013 Ford Edge to Langley Park, where it was found parked illegally by a fire hydrant.

Police who arrived at the scene confirmed that her purse, credit cards, and even $60 in cash were left untouched inside the vehicle. However, her phone was missing and has been deactivated, leaving her family without a crucial means of contact.

Surveillance footage from a nearby residence, provided by her father, shows someone resembling her walking away from the car around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. This was just a few hours after she left home, but her family hasn’t heard from her since.

Her parents describe her as an introverted young woman with a small circle of friends, making her disappearance all the more perplexing. They express deep concern, noting that her behavior is highly unusual.

Authorities in Prince George’s County are actively investigating but have yet to release any further details. Meanwhile, her family is desperate for answers and is urging anyone with information to contact the police.

In their efforts to locate her, family and friends have been distributing flyers throughout the neighborhood and knocking on doors, hoping to gather any clues that might lead to her safe return.

A prayer vigil is scheduled for Sunday, as her family clings to hope for her safe recovery, united in their determination to bring her home.
