A devastating accident on Long Island led to the tragic loss of two 14-year-old boys on Wednesday night when their vehicle was hit by a wrong-way driver who was intoxicated. The incident occurred on North Broadway in Jericho, involving a 2019 Dodge Ram pick-up truck and a 2019 Alfa Romeo four-door sedan carrying four teenagers.

The driver of the pick-up truck, 34-year-old Amandeep Singh of Roslyn, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when the collision took place around 10:30 p.m. The two 14-year-olds, whose identities have not yet been released by the authorities, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were also in the Alfa Romeo at the time of the crash. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of internal injuries, and their condition has been reported as stable.

Following the initial impact, the teens’ vehicle went on to collide with a 2023 Volvo, which had a 49-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy inside. Both occupants of the Volvo were treated at the scene for minor injuries and subsequently released.
