CITRUS COUNTY, FL – A gruesome discovery was made in Florida on Thursday morning when a deceased man was found in the trunk of a car. The prime suspect in the case was located with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his abdomen.

Local law enforcement from Citrus County were conducting a welfare check near Eden Drive when they stumbled upon the grim scene. They noticed signs of criminal activity and tried to reach the homeowner, who is now the main suspect in the ongoing investigation.

The search of the property continued, leading to the discovery of a deceased man in the trunk of the suspect’s car, which was parked on the premises. Detectives from the sheriff’s office were summoned to the scene, where they secured a search warrant and began collecting evidence.

He assured residents that the situation was under control and that the public’s safety was secured thanks to the diligent work of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office staff.
