ST. CLOUD, FL – A father was subjected to a sudden attack by two masked assailants, resulting in a stabbing incident shortly after dawn on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024. The location of the violent encounter was outside a residence on Settlers Trail Road in St. Cloud, just as the victim was preparing to drive his daughter to her bus stop.
The victim and his daughter had just left their home and gotten inside their vehicle when the incident unfolded. The father noticed an old McDonald’s cup in the car and stepped out to discard it. It was at this point that he was approached by two unknown men who unexpectedly began to stab him, according to an incident report from the St. Cloud Police Department.
Reportedly, the attackers did not utter a word or make any demands from the victim during the assault. The father defended himself by raising his hands to shield his body from the attackers. After a brief yet terrifying encounter, the two assailants abruptly abandoned their assault and fled the scene.
The victim sustained multiple injuries in the stabbing incident, with two wounds on his back and a third one on his shoulder. He received immediate medical care at the location before being taken to a nearby hospital. As per the incident report, the man’s daughter was unscathed, having remained in the car during the sudden attack. Upon her father’s directive, she quickly retreated back into their home.
The investigation into the shocking morning encounter is ongoing, with limited details on the identity of the attackers available at this time. The man described the assailants to the police as average-built individuals wearing ski masks.
