Bar shooting leaves three people hospitalized

NEW YORK, NY – Chaos ensued in the early hours of Sunday when an unidentified man opened fire outside a bar in Harlem, injuring three men. The victims, aged 21, 39, and 46, were congregating outside Just Lorraine’s Place 2 on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard when the assailant approached them and began shooting.

According to law enforcement sources, the shooter was seen wearing a red hat, dark jacket, and dark pants. The victims, all shot in their legs, were rushed to the hospital. Two of the victims, one shot in the left thigh and the other in the right, were admitted to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem and are reported to be in stable condition.

The third victim, shot in the right knee, initially managed to leave the scene with the assistance of two friends. However, he later collapsed near Lenox Avenue and West 135th Street and was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside. None of the injuries sustained in the shooting are believed to be life-threatening.

As of now, no arrests have been made. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. On Sunday morning, workers were seen cleaning up the aftermath of the shooting, sweeping up glass from shattered front doors and tidying up broken furniture inside the bar.

A local resident, Geoff, 52, who lives above the bar, described the venue as a constant party spot. He was not surprised by the incident, stating that people often get excessively drunk and rowdy at the bar. He recalled hearing a commotion that sounded like people throwing chairs, followed by gunshots and then sirens.
