Armed robber gets shot by gas station clerk

At just before 5 a.m. Wednesday, an armed man wearing a mask entered a Chevron gas station in Arizona and pointed his gun at the clerk, according to Avondale Police.

The clerk, identified as Brian, stated that the suspect muttered the words “rob” and “money,” but that the intention was already clear.

Brian had trained for such situations, and when the suspect aimed his gun at customers, he retaliated by shooting the would be thief.

As a result, the robber was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Fortunately, no other injuries occurred.

Police are reviewing the surveillance footage from inside the store to further investigate the incident.

Arizona is an open-carry state.
