A young couple and their 5-year-old son were found stabbed to death

BRONX, NY – A tragic incident unfolded in the Bronx early Sunday morning when a couple and their young son were discovered dead in their apartment, each victim of a fatal stabbing, according to local law enforcement.

Police were dispatched to a residential building located at 674 East 136th Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood, following a 911 call received shortly after 6:30 a.m. Upon arrival, the officers found a 38-year-old man in the building’s first-floor hallway, suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest.

The investigation took a further grim turn when officers, observing a young child on the floor, forced entry into a nearby apartment. Inside, they discovered a 33-year-old woman, also with lethal stab wounds. The child, a five-year-old boy, was also found dead at the scene.

Emergency medical responders pronounced both the woman and the child deceased at the scene. As of now, autopsies are underway to confirm the cause of death for all three victims.

According to neighbors, the family had recently moved into the apartment and were generally quiet, keeping mostly to themselves. Authorities have yet to release the names of the victims as they work to identify and notify any surviving relatives. The investigation into this tragic event continues.
