Four killed in domestic violence incident that turned deadly

Early Sunday morning, a domestic violence incident in Orlando, Florida, spiraled into tragedy claiming the lives of four people.

Around 2:28 a.m., Orlando Police received several calls regarding a disturbance and responded to a home near Parramore Avenue and Grand Street. As they entered, they heard gunshots fired from within the home.

A suspect exited the house armed and opened fire on the officers. Officers returned fire and the suspect subsequently died minutes later.

Inside the home, officers discovered three victims of gunshot wounds. One of the victims, a child, was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries. The two adult victims were both declared deceased at the scene.

The two responding officers were unhurt, though they were placed on administrative leave according to department protocol for officer involved shootings.

The Orlando Police Department asks the public for any information about the incident.
