BROOKLYN, NY – A somber mood has enveloped a Brooklyn community as residents mourn the tragic loss of a mother and her two young daughters, who were killed while crossing the street. The family’s four-year-old son remains in critical condition at Maimonides Hospital after surviving the crash. Authorities report that the driver responsible for the accident was operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

The accident occurred early Sunday afternoon in the Midwood section, specifically on Ocean Parkway near Quinton Road. According to police accounts, the mother and her three children were in a crosswalk when a woman driving an Audi collided with a Toyota Camry. The impact propelled the Camry aside while the Audi continued its destructive path, striking the family.
