Dashcam video played in court showed the dramatic sequence of events on Brandon Boulevard. The footage revealed a black vehicle cutting in front of Richards’ car, leading to a confrontation near Hilltop Road. Witnesses described seeing Richards extend her hand out of the window, which was interpreted as an incitement to escalate the situation.
The footage then captured a passenger from the other vehicle throwing water at Richards’ car. Moments later, gunshots rang out, with audio capturing multiple shots being fired. According to deputies, the driver of the other vehicle returned fire, fearing for his girlfriend’s life.
